Children's carnival in Rovereto

From Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th of February a rich programme of events, masked parades, and games will enliven the street and the squares of the city.

Rovereto is getting ready to welcome the 71st edition of the Children’s Carnival, full of fun: original masks, music, performances, and treats to be enjoyed while wearing a mask.

Programme

Saturday, 7th February 2026

• 9:30 AM | Inauguration of the “Minigiunta” starting from Largo Foibe and arriving at the Town Hall. Official opening of the Carnival with the handing over of the keys to the city by the Mayor. The 2026 Minigiunta is composed of students from the “Damiano Chiesa” Elementary School of Noriglio. Musical accompaniment by the Banda Giovanile Musica Cittadina “Riccardo Zandonai” Rovereto Junior Band.
• 4:00 PM, Biblioteca Civica di Rovereto | La finestra delle storie. Animated readings created and performed by Barbara Eforo. Recommended age 5+. Free entry with mandatory reservation, T. 0464 452500.

Sunday, 8th February 2026

• 3:00 PM, Teatro Rosmini | All’inCirco varietà. Organized by “Compagnia Lannutti & Corbo”. Free entry from 2:00 PM until seats are full.
• 4:30 PM, Teatro Zandonai | “Carnevale senza confini”. Concert by the” Jitřenka Group”. Participating choirs: Coro Notemagia and Coro Monte Zugna. Free entry from 3:30 PM until seats are full.

Monday, 9th February 2026

• 8:30 PM, Teatro Zandonai | Carnival Concert with the “Bande Giovanili Riunite of the Vallagarina Community”. Free entry from 7:30 PM until seats are full.

Thursday, 12th February 2026

• 8:00 PM, Teatro Santa Maria | Pinocchio & Safari: il burattino nella giungla. Concert by the “Rovereto Wind Orchestra” conducted by Maestro Andrea Loss, with narration by Gianna Barozzi. Free entry until seats are full, reservation possible by writing to segreteria@rwo.tn.it

Friday, 13th February 2026

• From 12:00 PM, Oratorio Rosmini | “Sgnocolada” della Quercia with musical accompaniment and dance performance. New this year: home delivery of gnocchi for elderly and fragile people residing in the Quercia District who are unable to move (reservations by 9th February, T. 320 6255701). Organized by the Quercia District in collaboration with Gruppo Alpini Lizzanella, Wonder Immobiliare, and Cooperativa Sociale “Amalia Guardini”.

Saturday, 14th February 2026

• 5:30 PM, Teatro Zandonai | “Musicanti… il grande viaggio!” Show by “Compagnia Lupus in fabula”. Free entry from 4:30 PM until seats are full.

Sunday, 15th February 2026

• 1:30 PM, via Dante | Gathering and registration of the masks for the parade.
• 2:30 PM, via Dante | Grand parade of the “Mascherine” accompanied by the “Don G. Pederzini” Band of Lizzana with Majorettes and the “Piccoli Grandi Violinisti” in collaboration with CDM. Afterwards, award ceremony for the masks and a snack bag for all participants. Registrations from 2nd February also available at stores displaying the Children’s Carnival logo. In case of rain, gathering and parade at 2:30 PM at the Sports Hall (via Piomarta).
