For GANES, this Ladin expression is much more than a toast. “Vives” is a declaration of love for life – colorful, exuberant, delicate, and wild at the same time. In their eighth studio album, the trio transforms everyday life into sparkling exaggerations, combining yodeling, lamentations, and Alpine sounds with Latin American colors and often a touch of Frida Kahlo.
The songs tell of village life, farewells and homecomings, traditions, the humor and wisdom of the elders, drawing inspiration from the ancient core of their homeland, La Val.
