Festa della Noce

In Cavrasto the arches of the old farmhouses are turned into little shops for local produce. The whole village turns into a large food and wine community where the Bleggio walnut plays a starring role, either on its own or in fragrant cakes, bread, a walnut liqueur, and the rare walnut salami.

Saturday 8 November

10:00 am – Opening of the traditional market
11:00 am – Inauguration ceremony and ribbon cutting
11:00 am – Roaming live music entertainment with the duo Samuele e Danilo
12:00 pm – Lunch with the Bleggio walnut: local food specialities by the Pro Loco of Cavrasto and local associations
2:00 pm – Guided walk organized by the Ecomuseum of the Judicaria
3:00 pm – A food and wine journey through local flavors: traditional sbrisolona cake served with nocino zabaglione and a glass of wine, by chef Thomas Andreolli and Christian Caliari, president of Slow Food Giudicarie Esteriori Committee
5:30 pm – Choral event “En piz de nos...e note” at the church of Cavrasto, with Coro Voci Giudicariesi, Corale Contrappunto, and Gruppo Corale La Noghera

Sunday 9 November

9:00 am – Guided walk organized by the Ecomuseum of the Judicaria

10:00 am – Making boiled wool: children’s workshop with Lucia D’Amato, felt artisan

Useful Information

• Throughout the event, visitors can vote for the most beautiful “sgranera” – the traditional broom made of sorghum
• A family area with changing table is available
• Dogs are allowed only on a leash
