Festival of Meteorology
GENERAZIONE METEO - Young people leading the change
A unique nationwide experience that presents meteorology in an accessible way for everyone, while maintaining the necessary scientific rigor.
The Festivalmeteorologia, now in its eleventh edition, offers an opportunity for all the key players in the field to come together, from meteorological services and professionals to businesses, researchers, universities, schools, and amateur meteorology associations. Schools can book workshops, experiences, and interactive lessons with experts from all over Italy, coordinated by the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto.
The initiative is promoted and supported by the Associazione Italiana di Scienze dell’Atmosfera e Meteorologia (AISAM), the University of Trento, the Municipality of Rovereto, and the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto.
During Festivalmeteorologia, meteorology and climatology organizations and experts from all over Italy offer educational and outreach activities for young people of all ages. The meetings and workshops aim to introduce children and teenagers to meteorology and climatology, fostering critical thinking during a time of uncertainty and change for our planet. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, is dedicated to the youngest participants, while activities and workshops on Thursday 20th, Friday 21st, and Saturday 22nd November 2025 are open to primary and secondary school students.
