"Informatici Senza Frontiere" Festival
Ctrl+Alt+Human
Three days of talks, debates, meetings, workshops, and performances to reflect on the conscious use of new technologies and the ethical and social implications of their application.
“Ctrl+Alt+Human” is the theme of the 2026 edition of the “Informatici Senza Frontiere” Festival, returning to Rovereto for its eleventh edition.
In recent years, artificial intelligence and robotics have moved beyond specialist fields to become widespread knowledge. Today, the focus is shifting: no longer only on what these technologies can do, but on their limitations, their directions, and the consequences of their development.
At the same time, the investigation of human capabilities becomes central again. A closer comparison is taking shape between natural and artificial intelligence, and their possible combinations, opening up unprecedented and still unstable scenarios.
But while human intelligence evolves slowly, remaining anchored to its complex and unpredictable nature, artificial intelligence develops along trajectories increasingly defined by economic and political interests. A few large companies and some global powers—often authoritarian—are contributing to shaping its structure, purposes, and limits.
Within this shift, a profound transformation is taking place. Not only will human operational capacities change, but also cultural references, values, and ethical principles guiding choices.
The risk is a future in which space for critical thinking, autonomous initiative, and individual freedom gradually narrows, while increasingly externally directed AI systems take hold.
A silent, yet radical transformation, forcing us to redefine what it means to be human.
