One seat for two
Coming together at the theatre
The first crowdfunding campaign by “Oriente Occidente”, created to welcome a broader theatre audience.
Theatre is a collective ritual: a place to share thoughts and emotions, a space for community. The “Una poltrona per due” crowdfunding campaign is designed exactly for this: to make the Oriente Occidente Festival even more accessible. Donations will help “Oriente Occidente” raise funds to provide 200 theatre places for those who cannot afford them, organize opportunities for dialogue with artists and coreographers, promote initiatives that introduce people to contemporary dance and meetings thought for those who might otherwise miss out on the theatre experience: Young people, new communities, and those with fewer economic opportunities — people who often don’t have access to culture. Art should not be a privilege, but an open space.
“One seat for two” means adding a seat, making room for those who weren’t there, and growing the community every day. One seat at a time.
