Sinfonia di luce - Attilio Lasta
Temporary exhibition at the "Museo della Città"
An homage to Attilio Lasta, a discreet, elusive artist, deeply connected to Vallagarina, where he left a print in the collective memory.
His works, which depict the light of everyday life and the stillness of the landscape, can be found in homes, studios, and the private spaces of many families.
This exhibition, which presents a selection of landscapes and landscapes transformed into still lifes from his period of full artistic maturity, highlights in particular his deep ties to the territory and to local artistic figures such as Giuseppe Balata, Luigi Ratini, Luigi Bonazza, Diego Costa, Elio Martinelli, Marcello “Iras” Baldessari, Giuseppina Bresadola, Mario Barozzi, and Giuseppe Zanella — artists whose works are also featured in the exhibition, resonating with each other and weaving a web of visual and thematic connections.
This is the third and final stage of the exhibition project “Attilio Lasta, 1886–1975. La vita e le opere”, conceived to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the artist’s death.
Following the first exhibition opened last May at the Villa Lagarina Town Hall, dedicated to his formative years, and the second at the Casa degli Artisti in Canale di Tenno, focused on the transition from landscape to still life, the current exhibition at the Museo della Città — curated by Warin Dusatti and Roberta Bonazza — offers a complete portrait of Lasta’s pictorial poetics, shedding light on his relationships with fellow artists who recognized him as a true “Master.”
The exhibition is organized by the “Fondazione Museo Civico” of Rovereto and promoted by the “Provincia di Trento”, “Comunità della Vallagarina”, the Municipality of Rovereto, the Rovereto Vallagarina Monte Baldo Tourist Board (ApT), with the support of “Cassa Rurale AltoGarda Rovereto”.
The broader exhibition project “Attilio Lasta, 1886–1975. La vita e le opere” is promoted by the Municipality of Villa Lagarina, the “G. Vittone Casa degli Artisti” in Canale di Tenno, and the “Fondazione Museo Civico” of Rovereto.
It offers an opportunity to explore the refined pictorial work of Attilio Lasta through around one hundred paintings, many of which are being shown to the public for the first time.
