Stagione teatrale di Fiemme
Show "1e95" by Teatri di Bari - Elsinor
When Giuseppe Scoditti takes the stage, it’s clear that we are in the presence of something special, not simple comedy, but an unexpected mix of brilliance and madness. Scoditti appears on stage wearing an impeccable tuxedo, playing with a theatricality that combines exaggerated and magnetic gestures reminiscent of Jim Carrey with the refined and elegant understatement of the great Walter Chiari. An overwhelming hour, without pauses, a monologue that races at breakneck speeds in a vaguely vintage atmosphere, a night club suspended in time where the only set design is the power of words, expressions, and gestures. Armed only with a microphone, a stool, and a glass of water, Scoditti creates a whirlwind of comic and surreal situations, smoothly transitioning from reflections on height (that 1.95 which gives the title to the show and provides irresistible self-irony), to the story of the family dog, Woody, who is attacked by a mastiff, turning into an animated and hilarious almost-family tragedy, culminating in an illusionistic game with the audience in a surreal match of actions and negations: truly a small piece of theatrical skill. The show is as physical as it is carefully written: a fluid and modular text, built by Scoditti together with his alter ego and friend, Ludovico D’Agostino, the result is a careful balance of wit, intelligence, and provocation.
