<p>For centuries the pass was the most important communication route between the port of Riva del Garda and Tione with the Rendena Valley. The dirt path-road that leads from Larido to Passo Durone was one of the routes for promoting and spreading the cooperative system in Rendena Valley and Chiese Valley. It gained relevance especially since 1890, following the foundation of the first cooperative of Villa di Bleggio.</p>
