Giant Fir Trees Trail - short loop
The Giant Fir Trees Trail is an extraordinary and wild place, rich in centuries-old trees whose impressive heights seem to reach the sky.
Here, red firs, white firs, but also beeches and yews have been silent guardians of Val Noana for centuries and have recently become the undisputed protagonists of two magical and evocative routes, allowing you to quietly enter the heart of the woods, discover its atmospheres, and especially savor the silences. What we offer you is the short route, which starts near the Valpiana Forest Cabin, just 6 kilometers from the town of Mezzano, one of Italy's most beautiful villages. By following the 2.7-kilometer loop, you will feel like you are in the heart of a great forest, and at times you will also find clearings and panoramic points from which to admire the breathtaking beauty of the Dolomites.
