I Piani di Bosentino 33
Hike that mainly takes place on a dirt road, with wide panoramic views of Lake Caldonazzo and the Valsugana. Other points of interest along the route include Castel Vigolo and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Feles.
The loop route, very beautiful to ride also with mountain bikes, mainly takes place on a nice shaded dirt road climbing among fruit crops near the inhabited center of Bosentino before entering woods of conifers and broadleaf trees. Once you reach Piani di Bosentino, you descend the slope above Vigolo Vattaro passing by Castel Vigolo and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Feles. Along the route, there are wide panoramic views of the Valsugana valley floor, Lake Caldonazzo, the hill of Tenna and its ancient terraced vineyards. From the numerous viewpoints along the first part of the route, you can enjoy lovely aerial views of a surprising agricultural landscape with apple orchards forming a checkerboard that extends over the entire floodplain of the Centa stream. Along the route, there are several opportunities to explore the forest searching for mushrooms which, in season, grow among conifers. In the final part of the route, other points of interest deserving a stop are Castel Vigolo and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Feles. On the ground, the itinerary is marked with white-red trail signs with the indication “33 I Piani di Bosentino” (33 is the trail number).
