Val Genova and the Nardis waterfall between nature and culture

Beautiful nature walk along the pure water of the Val Genova valley discovering surprising frescoes of the cemetery church St. Stefano, the old glassworks, and calm chestnut trees.

Relaxing route for all senses in the natural park. You start from Carisolo, near the pilgrimage church Madonna del Potere from the 19th century. After the glassworks, the path, sentiero delle cascate, begins.

We also recommend visiting the Gothic church St. Stefano, which overlooks the village from a rock. The southern facade was painted by Simone Baschnis with the famous Dance of Death in two parts: one in which death warns us that fate is ultimately the same for everyone, the other showing the seven deadly sins (1519-1532). Right underneath are magnificent chestnut trees.
