Dorsino is located on the outskirts of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, at the mouth of the Val d'Ambiez, and is perched on a morenic terrace created by the waters of the Sarca. The town was rebuilt several times following the fires which razed it to the ground.
Over time, wine production and manufacturing have come to play a key role in the area. The town is a must for all those who love typical Trentino food and wine and who want to savour a traditional ciuìga - cold cut made with pork and cooked white turnips.
Frescos by Cristoforo Baschenis can be admired in the 15th century church of S. Giorgio, while the ancient parish church of the Banale dedicated to the Assumption is found in Tavodo.
