The area Terme di Comano - Brenta Dolomites consists of the three plateaus of Banale, Bleggio and Lomaso. The Terme di Comano, at the heart of an age-old park, are famous for their water, which is ideal for naturally treating psoriasis, dermatitis as well as adults’ and kids’ allergies.
The area is rich with farmers’ villages; Rango is amongst the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy, where the traditional rural activities are still practiced today.
In Stenico you will find an imposing medieval Castle, whilst in Fiavé we would recommend you visit the Museo delle Palafitte (pile dwelling museum) and the actual pile dwelling, now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The entire Comano Valle Salus retells the tradition and history of an area worth discovering thanks to a series of theme parks by the Judicaria Eco-Museum. The entire Judicaria area, together with the Alpi Ledrensi (the Alps in Val di Ledro), was included in 2015 in the MAB (Man and Biosphere) list, a prestigious UNESCO programme for the protection of landscapes and biodiversity.
If you want to keep yourself in shape, there are plenty of days out walking, mountain biking and trekking between villages and castles, farms, mountain dairies and mountain huts in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. You can also try your hand at some fishing in the Sarca river, in Lake Nembia or in small streams. If rock-climbing is your cup of tea, then there are 11 natural rock climbing spots ready for you.
During the Christmas season, Rango - one of the most beautiful medieval villages left in Italy - hosts its Christmas Market amongst ancient rural houses, porticos, entrance halls and characteristic archways.
