Francesco Maccianti Jazz Trio
A journey through the great traditions of jazz, with refined arrangements and the complicity of three exceptional musicians, at "La Grenz" in Moena
The culture and music association "La Grenz" opens the doors of its club in anticipation of the Dolomiti Ski Jazz festival, scheduled from 7 to 16 March. In an informal and friendly atmosphere, which has always distinguished this iconic club in Moena, musicians and audience will come together to spend an evening of good music, immersed in the tradition that has seen some of the greatest artists of the international jazz scene perform on this stage.
Three artists with long careers, united by a passion for authentic jazz and an interplay that promises unforgettable emotions.
Francesco Maccianti (piano)
After a classical education, he devoted himself to jazz by attending the Siena Jazz courses led by Franco D'Andrea. His intense concert activity led him to collaborate with some of the greatest Italian (Pietro Tonolo, Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, and others) and international musicians (Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Richie Cole, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, among others). He was a stable member of the Massimo Urbani Quartet and the C.A.M. Orchestra, conducted by Bruno Tommaso and Enrico Rava.
Franco Testa (double bass)
He has collaborated with leading artists in both pop and jazz music, such as Chet Baker, Gerry Mulligan, Franco Battiato, Ornella Vanoni, Ivano Fossati, Mina, and many others.
Enrico Tommasini (drummer)
He has worked with leading figures on the Italian and international jazz scene, including Massimo Urbani, Pietro Tonolo, Luca Flores and Alan Farrington.
