Local bands concert

This review is an opportunity for meeting and celebration that honors a musical tradition deeply rooted in the territory. The three bands featured in the evening will take the stage with diverse styles, stories, and experiences, united by their passion for band music and their strong connection to the community. This event highlights the dedication of the musicians and renews the spirit of sharing that has always characterized the cultural life of the valley.

The Banda Sociale di Cavalese, founded around 1820, has endured wars and revivals, bringing its music to the squares of Trentino, throughout Italy, and around the world, from Brazil to Austria. Today, under the direction of Maestro Fabio Turra, the band continues to enchant the public with a repertoire that ranges from traditional marches to contemporary compositions. In 2020, it celebrated its 200 years of activity, a rare milestone that testifies to its deep bond with the community and the strength of a tradition that renews itself.

The origins of the Banda Sociale di Tesero date back to 1817, making it one of the oldest band formations in Trentino. Since 1967, the band has been named after the figure of M° Erminio Deflorian, a historic character in local music, who directed the band uninterruptedly for more than half a century. A peculiar aspect of the Tesero band is the variety of its repertoire, which spans from transcriptions of symphonic and operatic music to light music, from original pieces of historic band literature to more contemporary compositions, including film music transcriptions and the inevitable concert marches. With the end of the 2006 season, M° Carlo Deflorian, an illustrious conductor for forty years, passed the baton to M° Fabrizio Zanon.

The Banda Comunale di Ziano di Fiemme was founded in 2014 with the aim of bringing people together through the universal language of music; this ensemble now represents a precious bridge between generations: a place where the experience of long-standing members meets the enthusiasm and energy of the youth. Having been closed due to war, it has been re-founded, representing the youngest reality among the valleys of Fiemme and Fassa. The Banda Comunale di Ziano di Fiemme expresses itself through repertoires ranging from solemn marches of the alpine tradition to the most original modern compositions, under the direction of Maestra Sara Vezzani.
They have been seen participating in local, regional, and even outside events in Trentino Alto Adige. In each of their performances, they carry with them the pride of our mountains and the warmth of its villagers. The Band is presided over by President Andrea Vanzo.
