The Killbilly's
The 30th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz moves from the mountain huts on the slopes to the International après-ski bar in Canazei for a concert featuring an electrifying mix of rock energy and neo-rockabilly vibes in a live performance full of rhythm
From 6 to 15 March, the "jazz trail" winds its way through the Fassa and Fiemme valleys with concerts on the terraces of mountain huts, in clubs, theatres and squares. From Canazei to Cavalese and Cembra, Dolomiti Ski Jazz is back again this year with 25 concerts. The warm rhythms of jazz, blues, funk and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered scenery of the Dolomites. International artists will perform in the evenings in the clubs and theatres of the villages, while during the day they will climb to higher altitudes, to the terraces of mountain huts, some of which are also accessible to non-skiers. The festival will move from one slope to another each day, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz: The Killbilly's. Bar Après-Ski International (Canazei). Sunday 8 March at 3 p.m.
This high-energy band blends rockabilly melodies with the energy of rock'n'roll and the warmth of blues in an unpredictable mix of styles and sounds that pays tribute to the most representative performers of this musical universe. From the great classics of the 1950s and 1960s to the surf music of Dick Dale & His Deltones, finding their main reference in the neo-rockabilly of the Stray Cats, entertainment and spectacular live performances are a cornerstone of the band's shows.
Music band: Raffy Cordelli (vocals), Stefano Mosna (guitar), Mattia Scarabottolo (double bass), Anthony Dantone (drums)
The concert is free. The Bar Après-Ski International can be reached on foot or by car in Canazei.
