The magic of butter
Manual workshop at Ciampac for children to learn how to make butter the old-fashioned way
Discover how butter is made... with your own hands! Come to Ciampac and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of the churn! With the help of an expert local guide, we will learn all the secrets to making genuine butter, starting with milk from the mountain pastures and following traditional methods. And we won't just watch: you can try using the churn yourself and, at the end, we will taste this mountain delicacy together, made just like it used to be.
Activity organised by the "Sentieri in Compagnia" association, dedicated to families and children over the age of 4. Easy difficulty, strollers admitted (no walk, stay in the Ciampark playground area).
Schedule and meeting point: every Thursday at 10 a.m. by the mountain station of Ciampac gondola in Alba di Canazei. Duration: about 2 hours.
Price: limited enrolment free activity, organised by "Ciampac e Contrin" lift company, included in the Panorama Pass, the Dolomiti Supersummer pass or with a valid lift ticket. Compulsory registration online, at the Sport Check Points in the valley within 6 p.m. of the previous day. Lift ticket and possible lunch at the hut borne by the participants. Activity cancelled in case of bad weather.
