SAT / E104 - Serrada - Monte Finonchio
It is an easy route that allows you to reach the summit of Monte Finonchio and the F.lli Filzi refuge by following the comfortable former military road, a dirt road, that connects Serrada to the top of the hill (1589 m).
From the square of Serrada (signs) we take the former military road (first asphalted stretch), marked by trail sign no. 104, which soon enters the forest and gradually climbs the north slope of Monte Finonchio. The start is gentle, then the road begins to rise. The environment is alpine (mixed forest, then forest of Norway spruce and larches). At an altitude of 1372 m, near a hairpin bend, the 104B trail coming from the village of "Guardia" joins from the right. We continue on the road and, with a moderate but constant slope, we reach the Prai del Finoncio (Finonchio meadows) in the Zóm locality: here the 103 trail coming from Moietto and the 107 trail climbing from Scottini (Terragnòlo Valley) arrive. From the Prai del Finóncio we continue northwards, always on a dirt road, towards the TV antennas and radio telephone bridges located on the top of the mountain: a little further on, slightly lower, is the F.lli Filzi refuge, dedicated to the memory of the "Brothers Fabio and Fausto Filzi", celebrated figures of Trentino Irredentism.
