In a clearing in the woods above Molveno and overlooking the Valle delle Seghe, is the location of the Malga Andalo, an old building formerly used during the summer pasturing now transformed into a refuge to serve walkers eager to get to know the Brenta Dolomites. The refuge, owned by the Andalo District Council, overlooks the imposing wall of the Croz dell’Altissimo and is currently closed awaiting funding for major restoration. Walks From Malga Andalo it’s a 1 hour 20 minute walk on SAT footpath 332 to the Selvata refuge (the path has a short, exposed section of via ferrata, EEA). From the Selvata refuge you can walk to the Croz dell’Altissimo refuge in 40 minutes (E), or to the Tosa and Pedrotti refuges (2 ½ hours, E) and from there to the Bocca di Brenta (another 20 minutes).
