A walk to discover the colours and the flavour of autumn
Wander through the dense woods of Vallagarina in Lessinia, the Leno Valleys, or near Lake Cei, and listen to the breath of centuries-old trees as autumn paints their leaves in shades of gold, orange, and red.
Autumn transforms the landscape, from the vivid shades of green to warmer, fiery hues. Let yourself be guided by an expert among the birches, beeches, and pines woods to admire their colours, and learn how to recognize them by the shape of their leaves, while enjoying the silence around you. Do not forget to bring your own camera so that you can immortalize this extraordinary spectacle!
At the end of the walks, guests can savour the flavours of autumn by enjoying an excellent aperitif, on Saturdays, or a delicious lunch, on Sundays, at some of the area’s traditional restaurants.
Saturday 18th of October, 2 PM: foliage in Lessinia
Gentle hills, beech forests, and meadows dotted with stone-roofed mountain huts, an experience in close contact with nature, far from mass tourism: welcome to the Lessinia Plateau. And in autumn, the surrounding woods paint the landscape with unique hues, like an artist’s brushstrokes across the golden pastures. What better opportunity to take a break from the daily rush and immerse yourself in the soft colors of October?
At the end of the itinerary, to toast the day and say our goodbyes, a sweet and savory refreshment will be offered at the traditional Ristorante Albergo Monti Lessini, where a delicious and rich local aperitif will surely whet our appetites.

Sunday 19th of October, 10 AM: foliage on Monte Baldo
A trail scented with autumn, winding between Madonna della Neve and Prà Alpesina, immersed in a mosaic of colors: the beech trees turn shades of red, gold, and copper. Walking through this setting means breathing in the true essence of Monte Baldo, where sweeping views open up unexpectedly and the silence speaks of genuine mountain spirit, broken only by the crunch of dry leaves underfoot and the gentle murmur of the Corondoler waterfalls, which add a postcard-worthy touch to the surrounding landscape.
At the end of the walk, the experience is crowned with a traditional lunch at Rifugio Monte Baldo, a historic institution of local cuisine, where the authentic flavors of the region meet the warm hospitality of a place that has become a symbol of the territory.

Saturday 25th of October, 2 PM: foliage in the Leno Valleys
Deep gorges and steep valleys carved by the branches of the wild Leno stream divide the slopes of the surrounding mountains, covered in beech and fir trees. These forests are ready to warm up the cool October days with their most vivid colors, playing hide and seek with low clouds and autumn mist, creating light and shadow, offering a true feast for the eyes, and making visitors fall in love with the Leno valleys.
After the walk, take a well-deserved break with the team from “Rebut di Terragnolo“, and enjoy a hearty aperitif featuring local specialties from the valley: from alpine cheeses to the traditional “torta della nonna”.

A walk through one of the most romantic places in Trentino, where the full spectrum of autumn foliage reflects in the crystal-clear waters of a peaceful alpine lake: welcome to Cei Lake, a hidden gem at the heart of the Prà dell’Albi-Cei nature reserve. Surrounded by majestic beech trees and dense reed beds, this tranquil spot invites you to stroll along its shores and pause for a moment to admire the natural spectacle unfolding before your eyes, all guided by a local expert who will reveal the secrets of the trees that inhabit this special corner of Vallagarina.
At the end of the walk, enjoy the mountain delicacies of the renowned traditional cuisine at Malga Cimana, with a beautiful meadow nearby where you can relax after lunch.
