Grape pressing and tastings
On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, Arco welcomes back a historic event: the “Traubenkur,” the ancient grape cure.
A ritual of well-being and tradition that, thanks to the commitment of the Gruppo Costruttori, comes back to life after many years, once again placing grapes, wine, and their virtues at the center.
With the patronage of the Municipality of Arco and the Tourism Department, and the support of the Cassa Rurale Alto-Garda-Rovereto and Assocentro, the event will offer visitors a true journey into the past. The Committee will present the grape pressing in full view, performed by hand with a small press, just as it was done in the old days: the freshly extracted must, fragrant and deliciously sweet, will then be offered for tasting.
In the past, the grape cure lasted several days and was considered a genuine cleansing treatment, a kind of panacea sought out even by many tourists. Today, this tradition returns to tell its story, combining rural wisdom, well-being, and the simple pleasure of the fruits of the earth.
