Circus at Pordoi - Fiorir del Soreie Sun Bait
As part of the Circen Dolomites Festival, an evening of circus, music and cuisine, immersed in the light of the sunset at high altitude
A new way to enjoy "Enrosadira" (Alpenglow), that magical moment when the Dolomites are kissed by the last rays of the sun: it is "fiorir del soreie", sunset in the Ladin language. The evening takes place on the terrace of the Sun Bait mountain hut, in the heart of the Belvedere area of Canazei, at an altitude of 2,000 metres. Programme:
- 6 p.m. - "Muruya circo", a poetic and ironic show that recounts the search for balance between lightness, dreams and little follies
- 7 p.m. - Sunset with live music by Byenow, a band that combines folk and experimentation, international songwriting with art-pop and electronic arrangements
- At the end of the evening - Circus show "Light in the night"
Free show for adults and children of all ages. The venue can be reached by car from the Pordoi Pass (17th hairpin bend) with a short ten-minute walk. In case of bad weather, the show will be held inside the refuge.
The "Circo al Pordoi" is one of the shows of the Circen Dolomites Festival. For a whole week, from 25 July to 3 August, the Val di Fassa hosts established street artists and talented international jugglers. Squares, museums and even high-altitude locations are transformed into exceptional stages for amazing performances of skill and inventiveness. The festival is organised by the Fassa jugglers' group "Circensema", founded in 2017 in collaboration with the local association "Inout", which has been practising circus arts for several years and also trains, together with professionals, a number of teenagers who perform in shows throughout the year, combining juggling with theatre.
