Living carillon
Elegance in motion, live music and suspended dance: a dreamlike performance in a small theatre under the stars
When daylight fades and evening envelops Canazei, Strèda de Parèda is transformed into a place outside of time. An elegant and spectacular mechanical piano on wheels slowly advances among the spectators, guided by a musician in 18th-century costume. Above the instrument, a ballerina in a tutu dances lightly on her toes: a suspended apparition, just like in the music boxes of yesteryear. A show that combines theatre, music and dance in a poetic and evocative narrative.
With over 1,000 performances in 24 countries, Carillon has graced prestigious stages: from the X-Factor final with Mika, Fedez, Coldplay and Skunk Anansie, to the Venice Carnival, international embassies and world festivals in the United States. The notes of Einaudi, Allevi and other contemporary composers accompany this moving fairy tale that captivates audiences of all ages.
The walk along Strèda de Parèda, which will be closed to traffic for the occasion, will be enriched by a market selling handmade crafts from the valley and a refreshment point offering typical Fassa desserts.
At 9 p.m. along the main road in Canazei. In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled.
