Cavalese Giallo & Noir
Literary review directed by Paolo Roversi. Meeting with Rosa Teruzzi: presentation of the book "La giostra delle spie", ed. Sonzogno
The plot: in the thick fog of All Saints' Night, a mysterious figure moves in the darkness with one goal: to eliminate once and for all Libera Cairati, the florist-detective of Giambellino. After poisoning her with a bouquet of aconitine roses, the attacker has given himself a nickname, the Shadow, and is ready to strike again. From the refuge of the railway tollbooth where she lives, Libera must confront him with dull weapons, forced to act in great secrecy from Mimma Arrigoni, a prosecutor who opposes her investigations and threatens her relationship with the charming commissioner Gabriele. But when the danger becomes more insidious, Libera knows she can rely on her usual accomplices – the eccentric mother Iole, journalist Irene, and the grumpy chief reporter Cagnaccio – a tight-knit team that is joined by two unpredictable allies: Diego Capistrano, a former robber and Iole's lover, and Angelo Riva, known as the Quick Foot, a photographer capable of making himself invisible and disappearing into thin air. Between misleading clues, attempted murders, and hidden secrets, the hunt for the Shadow becomes a deadly game, where every move could be the last. In a bleak and rain-soaked Milan, where everyone seems to spy on each other, Libera must face her enemy without certainties – not even those of the heart.
