Proiezione documentari "Piante al limite", "Schianti" e "Fragile Bellezza"
Screening of documentaries focused on the climate crisis in the mountains, blending cinema and science to narrate, with experts and directors, the changes in the Alps in light of the climate emergency.
Screening of the documentaries Plants on the Edge (Italy, 2025, 17’) by Giacomo Vittone, Breaks (Italy, 2021, 15’) by Tobia Passigato and Fragile Beauty (Italy, 2023, 37’) by Gian Luca Gasca.
The exhibition Climate Crisis and Fragile Environment presents a series of documentaries on the theme of climate crisis and alpine environment in the areas of interest of the Euregio project. The Alps are experiencing a profound climate crisis: since 1880, the average temperature has risen by about 1.8 °C, almost double the global average. This is transforming the flora and landscape of vast areas, also due to human impact.
To raise public awareness and narrate these changes, eight films are proposed, including the one produced by the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation, Plants on the Edge, included in a schedule of six different evenings, held in Rovereto, Cavalese, Dimaro, and Bolzano, between spring and autumn 2025. Each evening will be accompanied by an expert and/or a director, to stimulate dialogue between science, cinema, and community.
