Ciamar Marzo, Trato Marzo: the revival of a tradition
“Calling March” is an ancient rite that celebrates renovation, the passage to the adult life and the awakening of men and nature.
The revival of an ancient tradition of Trentino: Trato Marzo, a centuries old ritual that celebrates the end of carnival and the beginning of spring.
On Saturday the 15th of March, starting at 6pm at “Ristoro Magna e Bevi”, the “Krampus Cimbri” of Vallarsa, of the Zimber Taifel group, and the masked groups from Castelnuovo del Volturno (Molise) GL CERV will perform with their percussion instruments.
At the end of the exhibition, the young people from the “Valli del Leno” will “call March”, and they will announce the new couples of the Valley. During the evening will be served polenta and other typical dishes by the Maso Covel farm and the Magna e Bevi inn. Accompanied by wine-tasting by the Associazione Leno Clandestino.
