COSMO - A universe to be discovered
A fascinating journey into the universal genius of Leonardo, for young and old alike
A journey that blends art and science, where the ingenuity of Leonardo da Vinci comes to life through faithful reproductions of his projects described in the famous Leonardo Codices. The "Genius" exhibition offers a unique opportunity to discover the brilliant mind that has left a lasting mark on history, providing an engaging and interactive experience designed especially for children and teenagers, but one that will also captivate adults. In collaboration with the Ladin School of Fassa and the Ecomuseum of Roggia Mora in Vigevano, this exhibition-workshop has been created by the students of the scientific and artistic high school of San Giovanni, who have spent the school year exploring Leonardo as a scientist, artist, and engineer. Visitors can admire the famous study of the golden ratio applied to masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, solve geometric puzzles inspired by Leonardo’s "ludi", and explore a special section on "nodes", linked to the origins of Vinci. The highlight of the exhibition is Leonardo’s 13 mechanical machines, including catapults, crossbows, cranes, and drills, which demonstrate the ingenuity of the Renaissance genius, whose influence can still be seen in modern mechanics today.
