Il viaggio dell'adolescente: lungo, tumultuoso, meraviglioso
Presentation of the book "From Generation ZETA to Generation ALFA". Adolescents between anxieties and hopes, with psychologist Ignazio Punzi.
Adolescence, already defined by Rousseau as "second birth", due to the profound bodily, psychological, and spiritual transformations through which each person's unique and unrepeatable personal identity is formed, constitutes a "transition age", today particularly delicate and complex. For some time now, it has become common to classify the various adolescent stages with alphabetical terminology. Generation Z represents those born between 1996 and 2010, the first to grow up with the Internet, while Generation Alpha refers to those from 2011-12 onwards. These generational cohorts are united, beyond the intrinsic process of individual development, also by their common belonging to the socio-existential environment, characterized by the "network" of tools for digital interconnection and communication. With their styles, rituals, languages, and tastes, which are not easy to decipher, today's adolescents, caught between anxieties, fragilities, and hopes, require adults who are capable of listening, closeness, and offering "beautiful" and "good" life proposals.
The text offers thoughtful reflections on the essential perspectives (sociological, psychological, pedagogical, pastoral) from which to observe/interpret the "challenging" worlds of today's adolescents. With contributions from: Luigi Caravella, Maddalena Colombo, Ivo Lizzola, Ignazio Punzi.
